Ketchup, the perfect seasoning!

DV's love of a certain flavor has inspired my post today.

The flavor is ketchup!!!

He won't eat his chicken? Ketchup! He won't eat his broccoli? Ketchup!

Ketchup is also the perfect accompaniment to burgers, meatballs, hot dogs, fried shrimp, fish, pretty much anything at all that we eat.

In fact, yesterday DV requested some ketchup on his chocolate brownie but IV and I aren't quite ready to go that far...

Is this a 2 year old thing? Will he always love the "red sauce" this much???

It's genetic. His uncle is the same way! Give him a perfectly grilled steak, and he asks for ketchup. I used to be that way too, but fortunately outgrew it. I've come to realize the perfect match for steak is good red wine (but not as a dipping sauce!)

I like the DV, IV thing. Very original.

But I have to disagree with IV. I LOVE ketchup on steak. In fact, I pretty much won't eat it without it. And not only am I grown, I'm overgrown!

My Punkin' likes ketchup, but mostly to spread all over the table and himself. Maybe on hubby's sleeve, too......

I wish this worked for me! Carson uses said food merely as a vehicle for his ketchup consumption. Sometimes ketchup is all he eat.

Welcome to my ketchup dunked life! I hate the stuff- Luke eats it every meal! Even if there is no reason for it, We have to put a little on his plate, and he eats it like it is a dish all to it's own. Totally grosses me out. He has even put it on cookies! With the amount he consumes- it is a veggie serving!
